Aalapot
My few words..
Dear Friends
I am a guy from Aalapot. So i love to show you the place where i was born. It is a beautiful place surrounded by different temples. Having surrounded by the temples you should guess how is our religion.
Alapot..
Aalapot is a village development committee in Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2489 and had 429 houses in it.[1]
Aalapot is located near Sundarijal, Bhadrabas and Gokarna, north east of Kathmandu. Many of the locals of Aalapot and the surrounding villages are compelled to fetch water from the Bagmati River.

SOMTHING ABOUT ALAPOT...
Aalapot,the wonderful VDC lies
in the northern part of the kathmandu valley. It lies between the two beautiful places
sundarijal and changunarayan.It lies in the base of the great piligrimage
kageshowori mahadev with greeneries.
The developing vdc,aalapot mostly have the population of newars.but
other people like Brahmins, chheteri,tamangs etc also live here.the flowing
rivers bagmati and mahadev,provides the peace to aalapot. Many temples of gods
and goddess can be found in each and every centers of alapot. There is unity in
diversity in alapot vdc. Many ethnical group live here together. Since alapot
is a village, it have all the facilities of the city area,education transportation,communication
etc are well developed here.one can
reach here after 1:30 hrs, taking bus from heart of kathmandu valley.
Many projet are being launched here melamchi drinking water projet with
great dream of fulfilling daily water need is one of the major project here.oad
construction is another major project.
Many private,government as well as
community school arehere which are providing good education to the student.
Different type of people living
in this village performs or celebrates different type of festivals.specally
newar community celebrates jatras and other many festivals the great
fun,similarly other festivals like lhosar ,dashin, tihar are also celebrated.old
houses with traditional norms,values and beliefs is the importance o this
village.
One of the major thing of this village is that different types of
flowers and drops are well grown here.
Youths are very united here and
since many clubs are established in order to develop the quality of youths many
private finance l.t.d are opened here for the strong economic status.
GARDEN OF NEWARI CULTURE (Aalapot)
The richest community in culture, traditional,and religion.we celebrate different type of festival with great joys. specially we celebrate jatras with great fun. altogether we celeebrate three jatras in the yeaar.sindhur jatra is the main jatras . it take place after 20 days of ghode jatra.mainly in sindur jatra we worship bhairav and ganesh. they are the main god of our village. after the worship of bhairav and ganesh the jatra started from mid night of the before mother'sday .we celebrate this jatrafor peace and with great fun with (rath).
In ghode jatra we perform different comedy performance which can make people laugh.it's falls in chaitra. the lakhya perform dance. we perform lakhaya dance to establish peace and harmony.gai jatra is celebrated for peace of died people.''dead people always above us'' with this thinking we celebrate gai jatra. many other festivals like dewali,yomari purna, sitti etc are celebrate by us yomari purnnima is another festivals in which we eat yomari prepared from rice flour and chakku which is very important for our body. newari family mainly observed bhoj.many items are prepared to eat bhoj. specially samayabaji should not be missed in every kind of bhoj; egg, soyabean ,fish, meat, ginger,garlic, spanish should not missed .In general they are very important to maintain our diet.alchol ,wine s a sagun is very necessary in each an every kind o f bhoj.
A special type of musical instrument(dhame, baccha, flute etc)are played in each and every ceromonies.newars are united and formed a (guthi) for the village development as well as promotion of culture and tradtion of newar bayoca community eng. school has been established by guthi community and as well as guthi is helping a lot for the people who are economically backwarded.this guthi is contributing to increase the brotherhood among newars.
Due to this newari village (aalapot ) is unique than other vdc.................
